Last night I had a wonderful experience. One of my best friends, Alicia, and I had our first Bible study together! Both of us have been looking for an opportunity to get serious accountability and prayer outside of our family, so we thought that it would be a good idea to work together as we try to walk "The Walk." We will be working through Leslie Ludy's Authentic Beauty, and I feel confident that God will use it to bring us closer to Him. We set specific goals for ourselves and I would like to share a few with you.
- To draw closer together as sisters in Christ so that we may encourage, as well as exhort one another with scripture
- To become set-apart young women, wholly devoted to Christ so that His light may shine through us
- To dedicate ourselves to being respectful to our parents and a blessing to our siblings
This is our first time doing something like this with anyone aside from our moms, and we are so excited to encourage one another to become more like our Jesus. We will be meeting every week and have set two hours aside for both the study, discussion, and prayer. I think I can speak for both of us when I say that we would really appreciate your prayers as we strive to glorify God and enjoy Him forever!
